Back to Black

Lately I've been drawn to black. I'm not sure how or why it happened it just did. Maybe it's because I've seen so many white interiors on Pinterest for the last few years that I am looking for balance. Or maybe I'm just in a new phase of my life where I see the sexiness and/or elegance of black. Like this pendant light for example. That just screams sexy to me. And what about the black storage units with the beautiful wood floors? Nice no? I can't even talk about the bath.......

So what do you think about black in your decor?

Creative Designing

Here are two photos that I found which I really feel exemplify creative designing. Of course each persons idea of creative designing will be different than mine but my version is one that takes a bit of a risk. Like putting a giant picture such as the one above in the dining room or having a chalk board wall accessorized with a crystal chandelier and electric guitar in your bedroom. It's designing with spunk and I love it!! What do you think about this, too much or just right?

Paint it Black

Never in my life have I thought about painting a wall black until now. It seems that everywhere I look designers are creating these fabulous spaces using black. It's making me want to paint something black or at least charcoal gray. We finished our kitchen renovation Christmas Eve last year and I still haven't painted the walls a color. They are just a boring white. After all the inspirational photos I've seen lately I think that I am going to paint the walls dark gray. I'll keep you posted.....

WOW right? I mean, black walls and floor with white sinks, toilet and towels combined with a BAMBOO bathtub.....I think I'm going to faint!
