I am loving the new fall/winter collection from Zara. There is an almost androgynous quality about some of the clothes that I really like. These are some of my favorites. Click here for the complete collection.

Recyled plastic made into shoes
Being an animal lover and avid recycler nothing breaks my heart more than to see pictures of birds who have swallowed plastic or sea turtles that are stuck in drink wrappers. Try as we might to reduce plastic, it is still turning up on the shores of many beaches. As such, three friends, Charles Duffy, William Gubbins, and Billy Turvey, got together to come up with a way of communicating the link between waste and consumerism, “and the disposability of contemporary products” in a project they call “Everything You Buy Is Rubbish”. Using plastic waste they found along UK shores the three friends made a pair of shoes out of the rubbish they found. Check out the video on design milk to see how they did it.

Beaded Birkenstocks
My friend Susan has a great sense of style so when she showed up at work today with these AWESOME beaded Birkenstocks I couldn't help but take a picture. I used to think these Birkenstocks were a step up from the regular ones but Susan's take them to a whole new level!

Dip Dyed Denim
I am loving these dip dyed boyfriend shorts from 3 X 1. It can't be too hard to do this yourself though which is definitely something to think about. It's probably just done with bleach. I wonder if I have any jeans that I could use to try this out on......I'll keep you posted.
Are you a single fold kinda girl?
So how do you guys feel about the single fold? I have to admit, I'm a fan. I'm a wee bit on the short side so having to hem every single pair of pants is getting annoying especially when it comes to jeans. I never really liked the double or triple fold.....I say good riddance!

Spring Shoes
You know it's Spring when you see polka dots!
Finally the sun has come out after six months of non stop cold and gray and I am sooooo excited I can't tell you. These are some photos of my friends shoe store called "Europa". I am very excited about all the silver and gold that is popping up everywhere this year. I find that both go well with just about everything so I can't wait to buy a pair. I already went out and bought some gold sandals which you can see here. I am also in love with that "Love" purse - it's perfect for an evening out.
Photos by me.
Gold Sandals
I don't care about the snow and cold anymore, it's summer here...in my head anyways lol! I saw these sandals and just had to snap them up. Soooooo comfy, they are like a flip flop but with a little bling. Great for daytime with some cropped pants or at night with a maxi dress. Click here for purchase info.
Bags, Bags and More Bags!
I am on a leather bag kick lately. I just can't get enough of them. Here are a few of my favorites from my Pinterest board.
Zara September Lookbook
I like the clean lines and geometric shapes of Zara's new women's collection. I especially like the gray dress with the low V in the front. If I'm not mistaken, there's a little bit of a 50's inspiration there. I think I'll be paying a visit to Zara today.

Leopard gone wild!
Have you noticed that leopard print is like everywhere this season! Here are three of my faves. I just have to get that trench coat!

A few of my favorite looks for Fall
I am loving these trench coats especially the leopard one. Talk about awesome when paired with jeans and a sweater/shirt combo.
Ok I admit it, I love rubber boots and I wear them all winter long. Doesn't matter with what, jeans, leggings or tights, they always work for me. Plus my feet never get wet or cold as I have a pair that are winterized. Oh yah!
Can anyone live without cable knit sweaters? Uh, I don't think so....especially when it's -20 outside. This year I also have a little crush on plaid. Yup, I said it, a total crush on plaid and although I love the subtle plaid paired with a cable knit sweater, this season I went all out and bought a pair of flaming red plaid tights. I still can't believe it.....I don't think my husband has recovered yet, I'll keep you posted.
