Fashion Designer Jenni Kayne's Rustic Contemporary Home

Jenni Kayne designed her house the way she designs her clothes, simple & chic. This house is on my top 10 list of most coveted. I love the contemporary rustic mix and the entrance in the photo above just blew me away. For the complete story please read the commentary on popsugar.

Rustic Inspiration

This time of year always makes me wish I had a Country place. I love the outdoors and I especially love the Fall when all the leaves are changing colors and the sun surprises you with a warm day. Sitting outside covered in a wool blanket, having a cup of tea and reading a magazine or knitting is one of my favorite things to do. It makes me feel like there is an endless amount of possibilities around the corner...

Het Atelier Interieur

Het Atelier has done some very nice projects but this one is my favorite. The combination of rustic and contemporary as well as contemporary and antique elements has my heart beating  off the charts. I  love the textured cement floor, irregular built in shelving and black accessories combined with all that marble in the kitchen.

This glass pendant light adds just the right amount of color in this neutral space!

Totally smitten with the wood plank flooring.

This powder room is just so cool! Refined, simple and ethnic all at once. 

If I could re-do my small bathroom I would do it like this.

I love this kitchen with the it's creamy cupboards, marble backsplash and rustic wood door and floors. Quite the contrast, which I love of course!

I am love love loving this loft designed by Slava Balbek from 2b.group. The cement ceilings, wood floors, and rustic contemporary mix have set my heart on fire!

Contemporary Home in Australia

This is a home for sale in Australia and when I found one of the pictures on desiretoinspire I wanted to see the whole place. I'm glad I did. This inside-outiside home is quirky but delightful. I love the bedrooms and how they all have a link to the outdoors not to mention that awesome living room with glassed in fireplace and exterior patios. Absolutely lovely. I would move in tomorrow! Gorgeous Rustic + Contemporary Kitchen

I love combining Rustic and Contemporary elements and this kitchen is a beautiful example of how cohesive those two styles can be. I can't get enough of the rustic wood table with the molded plastic chairs, sleek white contemporary cabinetry, epoxy floor and the GORGEOUS white pendant light chandelier hanging from that whitewashed wood ceiling.

A Renovated Pool House with many faces

I love this renovated pool house not only for it's contemporary decor but for it's versatility. The house can be used as an office, guest house, meeting room, party area or pool house. Once a mid-century stone clad mess, +TongTong has transformed this previously dated structure into a timeless beauty. And how about all that outdoor lighting. Soooo sexy!!

Modern Dream Home in Hatley

This is it! I have finally found my Dream Home!! 

Of course it's $1,150,000 so I won't be buying it any time soon however I did think that it was worth showing you. The decor is exactly what I love, clean lines and uncluttered and the raw wood table in the dining room is absolutely gorgeous! The only thing I'd change are the gray couches in the living room as I don't find them contemporary enough for the space. The rest is fantastic though and oh boy what a view!
