Gold, Chrome and White Office

I feel that this combination works really well together don't you? I really love those gold pendant lights and the difference in the styles of chairs. And there is nothing like a nice warm fur (faux of course) rug under your feet to chase away the chill.

Cinderblock and Recycled Wood Outdoor Kitchen

Isn't this a great idea. I would never have thought that cinder blocks could look so good but here they are and looking just fine in this outdoor kitchen. So simple to do and cost effective too. You could also take this idea one step further and paint the cinder blocks and wood counter top black to create a more chic space. Add some black and white striped pillows to your chairs, a black or white umbrella, and a few white candles in black lanterns and presto - Magic!

Purple Gray and Ochre Bedroom

I just love the purple-gray-ochre color combination in this room. The accent pillows and lamps add pops of color just where they're needed. The lucite console table at the end of the bed is also a nice addition.

Snowy Seaside Sanctuary

I'm not a snow person, I much prefer the beach. However, I can totally get this snowy sanctuary. There is something to be said about sitting outside drinking hot chocolate on a snowy day or just after a snow storm when all is so very quiet. It is so peaceful.

 Here are a couple of friends I made while at Southampton beach the other day. 

I love the volcanic rock and white sand. Such beauty in Bermuda.

Reading on the Beach

I find the beach one of the most relaxing places to be and reading on the beach is one of my favorite past times. There is something to be said about getting up really early in the morning and just sitting on the beach. There is a stillness of the soul that happens.

Bermuda - Retail Therapy

Every time I go to Bermuda there are a few stores that I absolutely MUST stop into and one of them is called Calypso. Located on Front Street, this shop sells a variety of interesting home accessories as well as beautiful clothes and shoes. I popped in yesterday to have a quick look and just had to share some of the fun  things I found like these wicker lamp shades (Lightshades in Bermuda speak). These would be absolutely fabulous in a white decor. 

Here's a close up of the plates you see in the first photo - aren't they just beautiful and you know how I love all things made out of wood which brings me to my next photo - a jigsaw puzzle cutting board! Love it!!

Sorry about the close up - no way to style the board so I had to improvise and shoot from very close up. Couldn't remove the price tag either so we'll all just have to get past my crappy photo and love it anyways!!
