Yup! You read it right. I am doing a post on a Designer Chicken Coop!

Chicken keeping is no longer for the Country folk. What with all the hubbub about eating fresh from the farm, organic produce etc. it seems like chicken keeping is also a new trend in the City.  Egg Shaped and made with sustainable materials, the Nogg can happily accomodate 2-4 chickens (chickens sold separately). AND the Nogg's aesthetic design will be right at home in your Urban yard.  So what are you waiting for! Fresh eggs are but a Nogg away!

Stepping stones

I love stepping stones, whether they be in the garden or along the house, I know they will lead  me somewhere. Here is a fun DIY for you to do and a photo of how they could be arranged alongside your home (home not included!). Just take a large leaf, add a cardboard mold, some cement and voilà a beautiful stepping stone. 

 

Another variation would be to put the leaf over some sand and then pour the cement. Instant patterned bowl!

Origami Paper Lamp

Origami paper "bubble" LED lamp with remote control

I came across Fiber Store on Etsy and I was immediately impressed. Justina, the shop owner, has created this origami bubble lamp shade with folded, acid-free and lignin-free, Canford paper using her own technique. Pretty amazing!

The first lamp shown can be purchased with or without the LED light system whereas the "snowflake" lamp shade is sold without a hanging kit but which can be easily purchased at IKEA. Both lamp shades come in many colors. Please visit her store here for more information.
